Through a unique inter-institutional collaboration between MIT Media Lab, CoFab Designs and our Department of Biomedical Engineering’s Translational Design and Engineering Lab, Philip Brown, PhD, has co-developed a medical quality, quickly manufacturable alternative to the disposable N95 mask, as an open-source design that will make the mask readily accessible to care providers.
