I have been very pleased with the Li Jujube tree. I ordered a bare root tree from a nursery online and planted it in the clay-y soil of western North Carolina. It leafed out nicely and developed fruits that are currently perfecting themselves. Many of the fruit trees in our yard were attacked by Japanese Beetles, but zero of them messed with this tree! It's safe to say that it is highly pest and disease resistant, not sensitive to soil type, does fine with longer periods of dryness, and produces an amazing fruit. If you are looking for a fruit tree to add to your garden or food forest, you may want to consider a jujube tree.
