the Matterhorn might be the world’s most famous mountain, but it is also one of the worlds hardest to see

The clouds in the area often cover the mountain and make it impossible to spot for days or weeks at a time

For the best chance of seeing this mighty mountain:
- visit in the summer for the highest likelihood of blue skies
- wake up at sunrise as it is the best time of day for visibility
- stay in Zermatt for more than just a few days, the longer you are there, the better your chance of seeing it is

We were so grateful to get to see the Matterhorn, even if just for 45 minutes at sunrise one morning, when we went to Zermatt.
