A local longtime CEO will soon be stepping down.
Pam Davis will be retiring at the end of June 2017, after a 28-year run leading Edward, and then Edward-Elmhurst Health.
She took over the healthcare system back in 1988, and during her tenure, grew it from a small community hospital into a top rated regional medical center. She and her team opened the first medically based fitness center in DuPage County, acquired Linden Oaks, expanding their behavioral health capacity, established the Plainfield campus, and achieved a number of accolades.
Through a large number of developments and renovations, the system grew under her leadership into a group that now employs nearly 8,500, and boasts revenues of $1.3 billion.
Taking her place as System CEO will be Mary Lou Mastro, who has also been with Edward since 1988.
After her retirement in June, Davis will continue as CEO Emeritus and report to the Edward-Elmhurst Board of Trustees through 2017.
