Welcome to our winter walk through Newcastle upon Tyne! In this video, we'll take you on an upbeat tour of the city, showcasing many of its must-see landmarks and attractions.

In our video today, we'll start off at the River Tyne, a historic waterway that has played a major role in the city's development. From there, we'll head to the Dog Leap Stairs, a set of steep steps that lead up to Newcastle Castle. This castle has a long and rich history, dating back to the 11th century.

Next, we'll take a stroll along the Town Wall, a historic defensive structure that once encircled the city. We'll also take a detour through Chinatown, an vibrant neighborhood filled with colorful lanterns and delicious Asian restaurants. Exhibition Park is another must-see destination, with its beautiful gardens and historic buildings.

We'll also make a stop on Northumberland Street, a bustling shopping street that is home to a wide range of stores and restaurants. One of the most iconic landmarks in Newcastle is the Gateshead Millennium Bridge, a stunning piece of modern architecture that spans the River Tyne.

We'll also take a stroll through the Central Arcade, a beautiful Victorian shopping arcade that is home to a variety of independent shops and cafes. If you're visiting during the holiday season, be sure to check out the Christmas market in Eldon Square. It's a festive and fun place to shop for gifts and enjoy some seasonal treats.

We'll also make a stop at the Cathedral Church of St. Nicholas, a beautiful and historic place of worship that dates back to the 14th century. Our tour will end at the Swing Bridge, a unique and iconic landmark that spans the River Tyne.
