The physical experience of anxiety is the same as the physical experience of excitement from an arousal standpoint. Both of these emotions stem from the experience of our sympathetic nervous system being activated. The only difference is how we think about the experience, consciously or unconsciously.
The secret to transforming negative feelings of anxiety into the empowering emotion of excitement lies in what we tell ourselves about an event and the possible outcomes we chose to focus on.
