This week, Rempah Ratus Kitchen offers a Malaysian Indian recipe, namely, Vegetarian Fried Bihun Indian Style, known as Bihun Goreng Sayuran. It is an easy stir fry vegetarian noodle recipe. A one pot Malaysian meal, it is not only a tasty vegetarian noodle meal but easy to prepare.

Ingredients:
150 grams rice noodles/bihun/rice vermicelli, soaked in tap water for 20 minutes and drained in a colander
4 tbsp cooking oil
8 cloves garlic, chopped
1 big onion, chopped
4 pieces dry tofu
1 medium potato, sliced
2 tbsp light soy sauce
1 tbsp sweet chilli sauce
50 grams cabbage, cut into strips.
A handful of bean sprouts and green onion/spring onion
Salt to taste
To grind into a paste:
10 dried chillies, soaked in hot water for half an hour to one hour
2 asam keping/1 tsp tamarind paste/juice of 1/2 lemon or juice of 1 lime
