As per the latest news on Mirror Now, from crisis-torn Sri Lanka, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe has resigned as the Prime Minister. In a statement, he said that he is resigning as the Prime Minister to ensure the continuation of the government including the safety of all citizens and to make way for the all-party government. PM Ranil Wickremesinghe has also said that the government will stay till a new one is formed. He further said that it must ensure that economic recovery such as the IMF discussions are not hindered. As per Prime Ministers office this has been the statement from there.
