How to Ride the Gozo Ferry in Malta?
Key facts:
1.) STANDARD FARES / PRICES (on the date of Febr 2020):
Walk on passengers without car:
- Above 12yrs: € 4.65/person
- Children (3-12yrs): €1.15
A car + the driver: €15.70 (Winter time after 8pm: €12.80)
Motorcycle + driver: €8.15
Bicycle: €1.15
A quad is a car.
2.) HOW TO BUY THE TICKETS:
From Malta to Gozo you just enter the terminal the ride is free. You pay only in the Gozo terminal in the ticket booths when you travel from Gozo to Malta. So if you can swim... :)
3.) LENGTH:
- It takes around 20-25 minutes to cross the sea from Cirkewwa (Malta) to Mgarr (Gozo). Physical distance is 5km . You will have a fantastic view to Comino and Gozo.
4.) THE SCHEDULE:
Basically every 45 minutes. (Sunday evening is 15-30 min. )

5.) IS THERE A CAFETERIA ON BOARD?
Yes. The prices are reasonable. (Ie. one cappuccino €1.10 )
