In order to unlock Extreme Difficulty, you must beat Battle Rush in its entirety with an A Rank or higher. In this mode, you die in one hit regardless of how many Rings you have and none of your stats can be increased, and enemies are a little stronger. However you keep all 400 of your Rings if you do die.

Super Sonic is no exception as he'll die in one hit too if anything hits him, thus making the battles against the Titans much more intense.

Beware of his back-lasers on this difficulty as it's entirely possible to die from them.
