A FUN thing to do in KENTUCKY with KIDS is to visit the Creation Museum in Petersburg, KY (7 miles west of the Cincinnati Airport. We visited this on the way from the Frankfort, KY area to Dayton, OH and spent about 3-4 hours there. We found this museum very intriguing and more visual for the kids than the Ark, but both are a worthwhile visit. When buying tickets, we decided to do the 2 museum pass, which included the Ark Encounter and the Creation Museum.
We are a family of 4 who loves to travel. In 2019, we bought a 30 ft. travel trailer and decided to make our dreams happen by getting out on the road. Since then, we have upgraded to a 39' Fifth Wheel Mid-Bunkhouse and a 2018 Ford F-350 Diesel and are loving the upgrade for our family. We have always LOVED traveling and now seeing our world on the road has given us opportunities to see and make more memories as a family. We are teachers and are blessed to have the same "vacation" schedule, so we make the most of it with our kids by being both weekend warriors and "school schedule" traveling--We call ourselves part-timers. We hope to share what we learn while exploring this beautiful world around us and inspire you to get out and see it, too.
