Art is for everyone. But the road to art is not as easy to travel for all – literally and figuratively. That’s why Klarafestival started Jouw Sleutel (‘Your Key’). In this project, Klarafestival organises tours and provides tailored information, offers visitors a snack and a drink and a personal escort to the concert hall. This is how Klarafestival and its social partners remove the obstacles to art for diverse target groups. Each year a few hundred interested people enjoy a classical music concert thanks to ‘Jouw Sleutel’, an activity they would otherwise be unlikely to attend.

During Klarafestival 2022, a group of interested people assisted the concert with festival artist and tenor Reinoud Van Mechelen. Together with his baroque ensemble a nocte temporis and the Chamber Choir of Namur, he performed André Campra's Requiem and Charpentier's festive The Deum.
