The British manufacturer BOFA International is part of the Donaldson Company and is currently the world's leading producer of fume extractors.
BOFA International's current product range includes a line of 3D PrintPRO fume extractors specially developed to work with 3D printing systems. Among the latest models is the AM 400, which is designed to accompany SLS and SLM units.
The 3D PrintPRO series includes four models indexed 2, 3, 4 and HT — these are ready for air purification when working with all types of 3D printers except SLS and SLM. The main difference between all four is performance. For instance, the 3D PrintPRO 2 purifies up to 45 cubic meters of air per hour, while the flagship model in the line, the 3D PrintPRO 4, filters up to 270 cubic meters. All units are equipped with low-noise motors, with noise levels as low as 49 decibels.
The model with the index HT is a specialized device to work with high-temperature 3D printers that are distinguished by print chamber heating of up to 110 degrees Celsius.
All 3D PrintPRO fume extractors feature a 3-stage cleaning system with the patented DeepPleat Duo pre-filtration technology, which guarantees a long service life of the filters and the unit as a whole.
BOFA fume extraction systems have a combined carbon and HEPA H14 filter design.
The latest BOFA AM 400 fume extractor system was specially developed for SLS and SLM printers characterized by hermetically sealed build chambers with an inert medium. The construction of the system allows for a quick and safe filter change, which greatly reduces downtime and simplifies operation. The device operates under the control of the intelligent IQ system — the operator of the equipment receives timely information about the status of the unit.
