[Can we trust China’s coronavirus statistics?]
William Yang has been tireless in offering rolling news coverage of the Novel Coronavirus outbreak since early January. He’s been tweeting English translations of official statistics and news from journalists, academics and medical professionals on the ground in Wuhan. Recently Andrew Ryan sat down with him to get his take on whether the official statistics can be trusted. Yang talks about the Chinese government’s efforts to suppress news of the virus online, and he tells us what he worries about most.
