In today's video Dr. Becky explains the differences between Psychiatrists, Psychologists, Psychotherapists and Counsellors.
Psychiatrists are medical doctors who can prescribe medication, they usually cannot provide any type of talking therapy, however, this can vary dependant on the practitioner. Psychiatrists usually refer clients to other practitioners who can provide talking therapy. Psychiatrists can diagnose psychological disorders.
