혈액 속 독소나 중금속 실시간 감지하는 기술 개발
A research team in Yonsei University developed a new system that can detect substances responsible for blood diseases in real-time.
These substances usually accumulate inside the body without being excreted from the body. As such, it is very challenging to detect such substances from sweat or urine exams.
However, the new diagnosing system uses a 3D bio-sensor that is absorbed into the skin until it reaches a person's blood stream.
Professor Choi Heon-jin who leads the research team, said that this technique might facilitate the diagnosis and early detection of various diseases, including cancer, dementia, cholera, and heavy metal poisoning.
