The country with the most new-borns is India. On average, a baby is born here every 1.4 seconds. The massive populations of India and China are key reasons why 50% of children are born in Asia.
1 in every 3 babies will be born in Africa. Developing nations tend to have higher birth rates, and Africa's population is expected to double by around 2050.
However, birth rates are generally falling around the world with the average family having fewer and fewer children. The remaining four continents make up less than 1 in every 6 new-born babies.
The USA has around 7 births per minute, putting it eighth on this list.
13 children will be born in Europe, with just one of those being in the UK.
Brazil leads the way in South America, while just one child will be born in Oceania.
