Why make your own chemical-free dryer balls, DIY-style?
Let's see. You've banished chemicals from your make-up routine, you scrub your house with homemade, all-natural cleaner and you eat organic whenever you can. You're living pretty clean. Oops, what about those clothes that are on your body all day and the sheets you sleep in all night? If you're still doing laundry with traditional dryer sheets you may be exposing yourself to toxins 24/7. So, your choices are: go naked or become a static monster.
Both options could lead to some comical situations (and we do love a good laugh) but why not tame the static and ditch the toxins with felted dryer balls made from all natural wool?
In this video edition of the Frugal Frog column from tujawellness.com, Valerie McTavish shows us how it's done.
Sheep, llama or alpaca fleece (also called fiber) is inexpensive and this green DIY project is so easy, kids can do it. Plus, you'll save money on dryer sheets, use less energy to dry your clothes, help the environment and keep those nasty chemicals out of your bed! Now you can sleep easy knowing your frugal and green.
A warm and fuzzy thanks to Sierra Vista Alpacas for the fleece. You can find them here: [ Ссылка ]
Did you give it a shot? We'd love to see how your balls turned out. Post a link to your video, leave a comment or send us a picture on Facebook. And of course, if you thought this video was a ball of fun, please like it and share it.
