Subject's position: seated with the hips in 90° of flexion and the tested knee in 60° of flexion. A belt is placed around the examination table perpendicular to the distal tibia of the test leg.
What you need: hand-held dynamometer
Test execution: build up strength in two seconds and then hold a maximum voluntary contraction for three seconds. Two practice sessions, before three test sessions for each leg.
Outcome: the highest value for both legs, eventually compared in the Limb Symmetry Index.
