Nov. 24 (Bloomberg) -- William ODonnell, U.S. government bond strategist at RBS Securities Inc., talks with Bloomberg's Julie Hyman about the U.S. Treasury's record $42 billion sale of five-year debt.
The bid-to-cover ratio, which gauges demand by comparing total bids with the amount of securities offered, was 2.81, the highest since September 2007. An investor class that includes foreign central banks purchased 60.9 percent of the offering, the most since June. (Source: Bloomberg)
