Novak Radulović (notsoserious) x Petra Radulović performing at Lovćen Mausoleum - the most significant landmark in Montenegro, located at the Jezerski Vrh , a part of the National Park Lovćen.

Lovćen is a mountain and national park in southwestern Montenegro. It rises from the borders of the Adriatic basin, closing the long and twisting bays of Boka Kotorska and making the hinterland to the coastal town of Kotor. The mountain has two imposing peaks, Štirovnik 1,749m and Jezerski vrh; 1,657m.

The biggest and most important monument of Lovćen national park and the whole of Montenegro is Petar Petrović Njegoš's Mausoleum constructed in 1971. The location for his burial place and the mausoleum at the summit of Jezerski vrh was chosen by Njegoš himself as his last wish.
To reach the mausoleum one still needs to climb up 461 steps. The chapel is the most impressive part of the mausoleum. It is a roofed facility with six sides and one central niche, built with the finest Boka and Brac marble. At a height of 9 meters, the ceiling is covered with a fascinating mosaic with over 200,000 golded tiles. A grandiose sculpture of Njegoš, the work of the famous sculptor Ivan Meštrović is dominant in front of the central niche where there also is the sarcophagus bearing his remains. The sarcophagus is reminiscent of traditional Montenegrin graves, with the national coat of arms and the cross engraved in the stone, as the symbol of Njegoš’s state and spiritual roles.

Lovćen stands on the border between two completely different natural wholes, the sea, and the mainland, and so it is under the influence of both climates. The specific connection of the living conditions has caused the development of the different biological systems. There are 1,158 plant species on Lovćen, four of which are endemic.
