Switch Review:
Sound: 6/10
Feel: 6/10
Comments:
The Aqua Kings sounded so muted that I had to use PE foam just to make its sounds pop out :( If I try to use other switches that don't sound muted with the PE foam in place, I'd get noise complaints from my neighbors, that's how muted it sounded 🤣 (exaggerated, but it really does sound muted, and my keyboard only having a 1.2mm flex cut pcb wasn't helping 😔) Other than that, it kinda reminds me of like water droplets or something, I like it but it :D The "smoothness" of the Aqua Kings though are quite different to other switches. It is quite tight so it kinda feels a bit sluggish when pushing down, but its not necessarily scratchy nor is it a bad feeling :D Just odd in a unique way :o Also since I used PE foam, in person the sound doesn't sound as clean/full as how it is in the video, might just be a personal hallucination though just like the water droplet comment 🤣 (idk how to describe it exactly, it sounds muddy?)
Disclaimer:
My ratings and comments are based on the sound and feel i was able to muster and experience with the keyboard setup presented, not with just the switch itself :( Your experience with using the switch my be vastly different from my experience with the switch due to the case, plate and foam I used in my setup D: Also I have my own biases hehe :) Oh also, I try to make the best setup I can make that suits my preferences when doing my build/switch review/sound test :) The 1.2mm pcb that makes my board sounds very muted is quite a hurdle to get around to so yeah :(
