What to do in Grand Haven Michigan during the winter? I know Grand Haven is a fun summer destination and is a Michiganders favorite summer retreat as it is located on Lake Michigan but have you ever explored a summer beach town destination in the winter?
Grand Haven is known for it's beautiful beaches on Lake Michigan and the Grand Haven State Park with the beautiful pier and bright red light house. But in the winter, Grand Haven is covered in snow, the pier is covered in layers of ice and Lake Michigan turns into an icy surfers paradise. Michiganders flock to this beach town late in the winter season to see the Grand Haven South Pier and Lighthouse be covered in a blanket of ice.
