Hey, guys! Great news! The release of Season 2 of Luis Miguel: The Series has been confirmed by Netflix for 2021. It’s been more than 2 years since the show premiered in April 2018 and was renewed for Season 2. Filming began in Mexico in February 2020 and Season 2 was slated to premiere later this year, but production was shut down due to COVID, which pushed the release date to 2021. The first season of Luis Miguel: The Series took us to 1992, the peak of Micky’s popularity. Season 2 of the show will jump back and forth between two different timelines, and focus on Miguel’s struggle to balance his growing popularity and family life. Diego Boneta will be back to play the titular character. Plenty of new actors join the Season 2, including Macarena Achaga as Michelle, Luis’s first daughter. Macarena is an Argentine model, singer and actress, who appeared in Amazon’s show El Candidato and starred in Gossip Girl: Acapulco. She’ll be joined by new cast additions: Fernando Guallar, Pablo Cruz Guerrero and Teresa Ruiz. We also hear about Season 3 already in production, but Netflix is yet to confirm.
