In this Landscape Photography Tutorial I show you how you can use the Image Stabilization and Automated Focus Bracketing features of modern cameras - in my case the Canon R5 - to do handheld focus stacking.
After showing my in the field workflow I explain how I perform automatic focus stacking in Photoshop after preparing the RAW photos of the focus stacking sequence in Lightroom.
As you will see in the video, those modern camera features have come so far that for certain situations a tripod will no longer be needed. It still maintains its place though for sunrise, sunset and night photography, where I use exposure times of more than one second to achieve my artistic vision.
