Pokemon Go Fest NYC 2024 Was Not Worth It

If you're going to charge $30 for an event and have people travel in from all over the world, it's not asking much to make the rewards worth the effort. I expected much better. A less than 1% Shiny Drop rate was pathetic, especially when I get as much as a 10% drop rate on Community Days, which are free. For $30 and the amount of things many of us need to do to get to the event, they HAVE to do better.

I also expected there to be support staff available wherever necessary and there just wasn't. Can't do much about the weather or the walking but that no man's land area between the two areas of play was a scary situation for myself and my wife.

I really hope others had better luck and a better time than we did. I just thought I'd get so much more out of it. Niantic HAS to make these events worth it.
