Former Attorney General Bill Barr has told Fox News that if "even half" of the indictment against Donald Trump is true, then he is "toast." The former president is facing 37 federal charges, including willful retention of national defence information, conspiracy to obstruct justice and false statements. The indictment relates to his failure to comply with demands to return classified documents, including those that involve the US nuclear programme. Trump has called the indictment a "political hit job," but Barr said the former president was "totally wrong" to believe he had a right to the documents.
