Trish looked ALL over the internet trying to find an easy bread recipe that wasn't full of garbage. Well and not just any bread recipe we were looking for a sprouted whole wheat. We kept coming up short so instead of giving up we experimented! We hope you can benefit from this simple bread recipe with only simple ingredients!

Sprouted Wheat Bread
Ratio for the mixed wheat is 2 1/2 cups sprouted white wheat berries to 1 1/2 sprouted red wheat berries ground into flour!
4 - 6 cups of sprouted wheat flour (mix of white and red wheat)
1 1/2 tsp salt ( I use redmonds real salt)
1 1/2 Tbs oil (I use avocado)
1 1/2 Tbs honey
1 1/2 tsp yeast
1 1/2 cups water (add a TBS at a time up to 2 cups if needed)
Mix 1 1/2 cups water yeast and honey into warm water and proof your yeast... in mixing bowl add 4 cups flour, oil and salt.... pour in the yeast mixture and mix well.... keep adding more flour until the dough is the right consistency... you don't want it too firm or too sticky! let mix for 20 min... let the dough rest with a towel over the bowl until it at least doubles in size... at that point turn it out onto a clean surface and split In half. form into loaves and put into greased bread pans. Cover again with a towel and let rise until the dough is just cresting over the pan! cook on 350 for 30 min! turn out onto a cooling rack and cover with a towel to cool! ****** IMPORTANT!!!! let cool at least 15 min before slicing!!! ENJOY!!!
