Police made a massive drug bust today in Faleatiu our cameras were at the Apia Police station when 10 truckloads of marijuana were brought in just after 4pm this afternoon.
A convoy of Police trucks bringing over 10 truckloads of marijuana plants seized from a drug bust in Faletiu at 6am this morning.
The marijuana was seized from 6 plantation all located in the Faletiu area.
The Police operation and officers efforts today resulted in a drug haul of what could be Samoa’s largest marijuana drug bust to date.
Commissioner Fuiavailili said that over 10,000 mature marijuana plants, guns ammunition and methamphetamine and large amounts of cash and two vehicles were also seized.
The truck loads of marijuana and rubbish bags full evidence will all be recorded and processed.
At the stage the street value of the drugs is yet to be attained but there is no guessing its worth thousands of dollars.
Police Commissioner Fuaivailili says the Police operation was successful he also stated that during the raid one of the escape prisoners Sui Tupe was spotted but managed to getaway.
Police made 6 arrests today they include two females and four males. Fuiavailili said those arrested will be processed and charged accordingly.
