Part of our Road Trip Series where we answer your questions. This time Katie discusses whether it's possible to make Fully Fashioned Stockings today in different deniers (weights/thickness). In the 1940s and 1950s it was usual to wear a 30 denier 'Service Weight' for daywear and keep sheerer 15 denier nylons for evening wear.
Today the factories we work with only make 15 denier, although since making this video we have spoken to them and they are receptive to making a heavier denier (just as soon as they catch up on production which will be some time away!)
