The composer of this lovely miniature Markus Flückiger (born 1969) is my colleague lecturer at the Lucerne Hochschule of Music. The composition was arranged for double bass & piano in 2017 by my talented double bass student, Madlaina Küng. The piece sounds likewise well as a miniature for viola and piano, or for violoncello and piano. Particularly interesting is the cello version in two variants: at the same height as on the double bass, or one octave higher (as in the version for viola)
