POSCO’s high-strength, wear-resistant high manganese steel, featuring manganese which replaces the expensive materials used for wear-resistant steel achieves hardness of 400-450HB.
This new steel is capable of retaining the same level of hardness even in the center. Thanks to this property, the wear resistance of parts can be sustained during the whole service life. As a result, high manganese steel shows excellent performance when applied to construction heavy equipment, mining facilities, and military bulletproof equipment.
