Pastor Gino Jennings is a oneness Pentecostal church pastor that many find controversial. As a church leader, I hesitate to even refer to him as “Pastor” since his gifting is more of a John the Baptist Prophet kind ministry. I will endeavor to remain neutral about Jennings as this piece unfolds. However, I rejoice the Lord that such a guy exists in the black church, and who is no coward as are 95% of black pastors that I know personally. Jennings not only preaches in an uncompromising style, but he also calls out detractors both from within and beyond the church. I was originally acquainted to Pastor Jennings roughly fourteen (14) years ago on YouTube. At the time, another individual who proved less resilient in the truth of Scripture, Pastor Tony Smith, was in public confrontation with Jennings for “alleged” personal breaches against scripture. Truthfully, I do not know who was correct in that spiritual struggle. Nevertheless, many years later, the Lord has permitted Jennings to build ministries all over the world and not compromise, while Pastor Tony Smith “went away backwards” (as he would say). Smith became a Black Hebrew Israelite leader. Further, Smith, and I backed him at one-time, has mislead people. I detest it for Tony since he began “the race” on strong solid ideology. I counted myself, and conducted email exchanges with him, as a follower before he lost his mind.
