Kazakhstan’s President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev has told his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin that his country is still under the threat of individuals he describes as terrorists.
The two leaders discussed measures to contain the recent unrest in Kazakhstan as they spoke over the phone on Saturday. Tokayev vowed Kazakhstan would relentlessly pursue what he called ‘the fight against terrorism’.
