I am using total carbs until I reach my goal. Once maintenance I'll do net carbs.

Dr. Michael Eades claims to have been the one to come up with the concept of "net carbs", saying that it ended up doing the LC community a disservice since folks misused it for the purpose of junk food. I have since begun telling my folks to count total carbs except leafy greens. Is there a middle ground? I really notice a difference in how I feel when I allow a more liberal interpretation of carbs into my life.
