As part of my golden birthday trip to Thailand, we had the privilege of visiting Hmong villages in the mountains where we were able to donate toys, snacks, and school supplies to the children. We learned from a local that the children desire toys and candy most, because the small amount of money that is earned in the household goes towards necessities. Gratefully, the Thai government provides supplies for those who attend school, but we were delighted to see that they were also excited to receive notebooks and pens. The turnout was beyond our expectations.
This was one of the most fulfilling experiences I’ve ever had and cannot wait to return. The joy in the faces of the parents and children were the true highlight of our trip. ❤️
