In this tutorial I will show you how to knit this super easy knit newborn baby bonnet, cap or hat for boys and girls it’s ideal for beginners since it’s very easy to knit. For this knit newborn baby hat or bonnet I used 4mm bamboo knitting needles. I used light #3 yarn by Lion brand comfy cotton blend and used about 49 grams of yarn. You can also make it smaller or bigger just see below.

Preemie use 2mm needles with #3 yarn
NB use 2.5mm needles with #3 yarn
0-3M use 3 mm needles with #3 yarn
3-6M use 3.5 mm needles with #3 yarn
6-9M use 4mm needles with #3 yarn
9-12M use 4.5mm needles with #3 yarn
12-18M use 5mm needles with medium #4 yarn
18-28M use 5.5mm needles with medium #4 yarn
