Baltimore is standing up, and Tate Kobang is one of the leading artists behind the new B-more movement.
On April 1st, Tate Kobang dropped a 10 track mixtape entitled "Since We're Here"
Kobang has a very nice style & a unique way of approaching beats, all while including a wide variety of styles. After making an appearance on the music scene with his "Bank Rolls" remix music video, which has accumulated over 1 million views in a short period of time.
It is very clear that Tate plans to continue to raise the bar lyrically, as he is one of the rare artists who can still get the party jumping without having to resort to recycled bars that the industry seems to love so much nowadays.
One of the things that stuck out to us about this tape was the awesome production work. Featuring Cassius Jay, Nitti Beats, Chuck Inglish, Street Scott, Jay Oliver, SoufWest, D Dae, Lando, Blaqstarr, Dennis The Producer, & DerrtyCity, each of the beats has its very own unique sound. It is very clear that when Tate was putting together "Since We're Here", he wanted a variety of sounds/styles. Every song will have a different feel & in turn should provoke a different reaction from the listener, leaving the tape a nice tape to listen all the way through.
