So? How 'bout that Superbowl? Better than last year's wasn't it? I wouldn't know because I didn't watch it last night. I was mostly playing Smash Ultimate. I unfortunately missed J-Lo and Shakira at Halftime... Because I was burned by last year's play-it-safe Halftime show, that Adam Levine doesn't want to take responsibility for... as there was no other comments after his hilariously esoteric Instagram post about the show last year... I swear, the guy is two faced. Maybe I should watch J-Lo's performance... but not after I get Matt McMuscles to do a Wha Happun on last year's Superbowl! Which probably won't happen... But I'll try to pledge a 100 bucks on his Patreon! Yeah, I'll probably stick with the J-Lo Superbowl...
And speaking of Superbowl, there were ads? What were they like? I bet they had celebrity appearances like... Uh... Danny Devito? Again, I never watched the Superbowl... But man, the corporations sure do love getting celebrity people for their big Superbowl ads, which is probably makes them memorable... in ways both good and bad. Terry Crews, anyone?
But then you have ads that feature people you might not know at the time of the ad's airing, but after the said person becomes a famous star, you're absolutely shocked to see that they once stared in an ad you knew from you childhood! Such as the case with tonight's ad showcase. This is a Gushers ad you may remember from your childhood, where kids are dinking about in a photo booth outside a movie theater, and one of them decides to break out the Gushers to morph their heads for some wacky photos! Which ends with the photo booth falling over with them in it. Great idea...
What you might not know about this particular ad is that it stars a then unknown Ashley Tisdale as one of the kids. No, seriously. This was before she became best known as Maddie from Suite Life and Candace from Phineas and Ferb. Hey, couldn't think of a better way to start Ferbuary! Now how did I know this? I found out about this via Asher Zerbib's description of the Vimeo upload of the ad. His description of the ad also mentions two other people that I've never heard of, Aaron Paul and Joanne, the latter of whom would become a YouTuber known as Jojotraps. I had no idea that a kid from a commercial would later become a big YouTube star, but here we are now! Then again, it's amazing to see an ad featuring a kid who would later be known for Disney Channel shows later on in the 2000's. Is there an ad starring a young Ariana Grande yet?
Asher Zerbib also has an odd variation of the ad, where the morphed heads of Tisdale and co only show up on the photos. I'll link it right here: [ Ссылка ]
Well I hope I gave you a good nostalgia trip with this showcase, as well as providing a high quality version of this ad, which I trimmed from a June 2002 Fox Family ad break courtesy of Vic's Archives Palace. It's so amazing to see stars you know in places you wouldn't expect before they were famous. Hope you have yourselves a great night, and if you want some more celebrity ad goodness, just check out the links I have posted below. See ya!
