In this video acid catalyzed and base promoted ester hydrolysis reaction mechanism is discussed. 8 types of mechanisms are there from which Aal1 and Bal1 are discussed in this video. Next videos will be on the detailed discussion of other mechanisms. Ester hydrolysis involves either tetrahedral mechanism or SN1 reaction mechanism or SN2 reaction mechanism in both acidic and basic hydrolysis.
