You can't win them all. Once you think everything is dialed in, you get thrown a curve ball. This was batch 1 of my double batch brew day. A stuck mash on my hazy DIPA that ended up being a dumper from not being able to lauter the mash.
I tried pumping water up through the drain to try and dislodge the problem but after multiple times and then physically removing the mash to try again, no dice. After something like this, it makes it hard to keep the course but you always have to!
