Saif Ali Khan was born on 16 August 1970 in New Delhi, India to Mansoor Ali Khan Pataudi, a former captain of the Indian national cricket team, and his wife Sharmila Tagore, a film actress. The couple has two children.

Kareena Kapoor was born on 21 September 1980, in Mumbai. She is the younger daughter of Randhir Kapoor and Babita, her elder sister Karishma is also an actress.
