I recently took part in my first ever podcast with Ben at UnchartedX and the Brothers of the Serpent, where we looked at and commented on Ben’s incredible footage of the megalithic stone walls of Sacsayhuaman in Peru.

During the podcast we speculated about their origins, age, purpose and so on, all of which is still somewhat of a mystery, but one thing that really sticks in my mind, is not just the precision of the stonework, but the shapes of the stones and the patterns we see.

It wasn’t just like a jigsaw puzzle putting these stones together. I believe that there are deliberate shapes encoded into them because there is literally no need for some of what we see. There is no point making life harder and making this shape and arrangement. Furthermore, some of the stone arrangements do not even add stability to the structure, so we have to ask why the blocks were laid in such a way.

In this video I look at Cuzco, Sacsayhuaman and the Sacred Valley and wonder if the stone walls could have cultural and maybe even astronomical significance.
