Over 200 people take part in the Maldon Mud Race with the winner breaking a new record finishing in 3 minutes and 15 seconds. Over 200 people took on the challenge across the Blackwater River in Essex. The race involved running 400 metres through the river and thick mud towards Maldon town.
Although there were no trophies or champagne, competitors had a cold shower waiting for them at the finish line. Report by Sarah Kerr.
