Throughout human history, animals have played a central role in our lives. The human-animal bond is a complex and fascinating phenomenon, perhaps best exemplified by our relationship with canines. What is it about dogs that sets them apart in their ability to connect to us? This talk examines the myriad ways in which humans and animals, particularly dogs, have found mutuality through service, work, and kinship.
