Kashan rugs are one of the most popular types of Persian rugs.

Kashan is one of the oldest cities in Iran and was a holiday destination for the Safavid rulers. They stay in large vacation homes with luxurious architecture and decors including these Kashan rugs made specifically for the royalties.

Kashan rugs pile is 100% wool imported from Manchester known as the Merino wool. Some older Kashan has silk and wool pile.
