Bamboo shoots are considered as one of the useful health foods because of their rich contents of proteins, carbohydrates, vitamins, fibres, and minerals and very low fat. Though bamboo shoots provide lots of health benefits, their consumption is confined mostly to Southeast Asian and East Asian countries.
Ingredients:
Bamboo Shoots or Bamboo Sprouts - 1 cup (chopped)
Water - For soaking and boiling
Onions - 1 (finely chopped)
Green Chillies - 2 (finely chopped)
Potatoes - 2 (mashed)
Salt - To taste
Turmeric Powder - 1/2 tsp
Chilli Powder - 1 tsp (adjust to spice preference)
Garam Masala Powder - 1/2 tsp
Ginger-Garlic Paste - 1 tsp
Rice Powder - 2 tbsp
Gram Flour (Besan) - 3 tbsp
Oil - For frying
