I finally started to watch some anime series from this spring season and Kabaneri of the Iron Fortress was one of the anime series, which has caught my attention.

Upon hearing the full version of Ninelie, performed by both Aimer and Chelly, I became extremely obsessed with song and I actually managed to arrange the entire piece in only 1 day. (plus a few days of practice afterwards)

The arrangement turned out quite interesting because it contains many elements of surprise. One example is the first chorus: Usually, the first chorus is usually the part of a song, where everything gets really loud (aka "awesome bass kicks in"). But this time I decided to slowly introduce the chorus in a piano pianissimo - basically resembling the sound of chimes - and gradually building up the dynamic.

There is also a very interesting "ghost hand" trick in this video. Pay attention to the left hand at 3:28 the keys are pressed down very slowly and doesn't play any notes. However, it still maintains the reverb of the previously played notes, even if you switch the pedal. Basically, I am imitating the middle pedal of a grand piano, which has a very similar function.

Btw, according to some people on twitter, I am an "evil person" (lol) because I created a passage in the arrangement, where you have to play 5 individual voices with only two hands.

But honestly, this actually sounds worse than it is - after a bit practice, it's completely manageable.
