Verdict: Alright (6/10)
The regular floors here are pretty much what you would expect, mostly there seems to be a focus on stuff with different colors from normal. I think the biggest flaw is the lack of new signs, you can tell which are the original floors by the ones having a lengthy paragraph. We need more lengthy paragraphs in this game ranting about people giving up. I mean, I pretty much do that in every video I make. Fun rotating parts as well.
Really, the most notable thing here is The Challenge as usual. Unlike the original, however, it is three floors with the original being on the final floor. This means it is highly recommended that you aren't just able to handle The Challenge after struggling a bit on the net, but are able to do it reliably without a net. Given the original is something I can usually do pretty fast, the additional floors were quite nice. Quite the satisfying challenge.
The new floors of The Challenge are pretty nice as well. A lot of wrap gameplay, but also some stuff like timing fast welded spinners and a fast conveyor. Much like the original, pulling off stuff tends to feel satisfying to do and tends to be challenging/intense style gameplay.
I want to say a good portion of my time and struggles were spent on that one momentum x-pusher. Everything else was just a matter of making mistakes and retrying, but that x-pusher hindered progress and made it so a lot of time was just spent failing and healing. Maybe it is me and I am doing something wrong, I certainly timed it wrong sometimes, but it did seem to lose momentum a lot. Sometimes it would just shoot me slightly forward, other times it would launch me more into the air. I am glad it was one of the first few jumps, because I still have no consistent strategy for that pusher.
In any event, I think this was a very satisfying tower and definitely a nice challenge on top of the original. The additional floors meant having to do the original The Challenge pretty well, while the new stuff certainly wasn't free. A nice way to make things harder for those experienced with the original.
