HOW TO SEASON A NEW WOK
Seasoning the wok's surface means you are forming a non-stick surface. it takes about a year to form a black, non stick surface. I prefer to use coconut oil for seasoning the wok. Coconut oil can handle high heat. You can use other cooking oils such as canola oil, corn oil or peanut oil. Avoid low temperature burn oils such as olive oil. Once you have seasoned a wok, you will have wok that you can use for a long time.
